On the 9th February I had the absolute pleasure of shooting the wedding of good friends of mine Emma and Joe. Although with every wedding photography job you have a level of pressure I think when shooting for people you know the pressure can be a bit more intense but you have the added benefit of knowing more about the couple which is also definitely an advantage.Have a look at a selection of the images I captured from their special day.

Emma and Joe got married at Bagden Hall Hotel which is only about 30 minutes from where I live and is a favourite venue of mine as the team there just “get it” and go the extra mile for their clients as well as us other suppliers!
As always I started the day with the girls and it was pretty relaxed. Isla who was the youngest pretty girl of the day was happy chilling in her high chair or cot and the other older bridesmaids were excitedly chatting whilst getting ready.
The venue had already provided refreshments and as always when I shoot there they had put extra Earl Grey teabags in the room – touches like these set venues apart and are always something that people remember.

Joe and the boys arrived about 12noon and I went to get some nervous before the wedding images with them and to check that Joe and his pals were ok with the whole buttonhole thing – I always think this is part of my job too – they’re tricky little suckers sometimes – the buttonholes not the men.
Anyway the day continued with the usual sections of the day, a beautiful ceremony watched on by all their friends and family, a social gathering while the room was transformed for the meal where we took the opportunity to get some couple shots as well as more family groups and guests enjoying a chat and a drink, a gorgeous 3 course meal to fuel everyone prior to the evening dancing and shenanigans.
