Wedding Photography – Frequently Asked Questions
What is a pre-wedding consultation?
A pre-wedding consultation is when I get to hear all about your plans for your big day. It helps me to learn what makes you tick and what is important to you. It allows me to get to know you a lot better and for you to get to know me. The more comfortable and relaxed you are with me the better your photos will be.
Why is having a pre-wedding shoot a good idea?
A pre-wedding shoot is a great idea as it allows you to get used to being in front of the camera. It means you and your partner can practice posing together and hopefully get any awkwardness out of your system. It also allows me as the photographer to take some shots and learn what poses work for you, how you interact together and how to get the best out of you both on the big day.
If I book you as my wedding photographer am I guaranteed to get you?
I am the main photographer and it is me you are booking. I may bring with me an assistant on some occasions to help with my equipment who may also take some images but I am your photographer once I am booked.
How long after the wedding will we be able to see all our images?
As a guide I advise my couples that it may be up to 4 weeks before all the photos are edited and available to view. It is usually quicker than this but I use 4 weeks as a guide. I always keep my couples up to date with progress so they know exactly how I am doing with their images.
How many photos will I get?
This depends on the length of coverage and willingness to get the most out of your photos. Usually you will get between 200 and 400 photos in your edited gallery. We can discuss any requirements on number of images should this be something you want to confirm.
What if your camera breaks on your big day?
I have an identical back up camera should my main camera become unusable on your day.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured and can show your certificates should this be required.
How do we book you?
To confirm a booking all you have to do is confirm to me the date of your big day (I will check my diary to ensure I am available) and then once agreed a non-refundable payment of £150 needs to be paid to secure the booking.
